Back from Taba, Egypt

Egypt

I have spent another great two weeks in Egypt. It became a kind of tradition to spend some time every year in this country. It never disappoints me. It's a beautiful country full of history, amazing monuments, perfect warm weather and great hotels. This time I was in Taba resort. It's surrounded by mountains and is one of the newer tourist spots. I must admit there's nothing to do outside the hotel but due to its location - close boarders with Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel - it's perfect for making trips. So this is what I did – went to Jordan and Israel :-)

Jordan

I was fascinated whenever I had seen Petra in movies. And now I can finally say I have been there. According to Wikipedia the town was carved into the rocks around 100BC. That's unbelievable how they could build it with no recent tools. It is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the world. The people there are so nice and educated – even the women goes to work, study at universities, not so common in Muslim country.

Israel

I've heard so many opinions about this country – the positive so as the negative ones. And as I prefer to make my own opinion I decided to make a trip to Israel too. Despite the Jerusalem is a beautiful city I don't think I will ever return there back again. The mentality of local people is very alien to me – most of those I met were rude and unfriendly.
But as I said. Jerusalem is nice city worth to see without any doubts. It's a city from which you can feel the breath of history on every single step.

And swimming in the dead see was another great experience. It's fun to swim floating effortlessly on the surface of the water.
