I just returned from German Fetish Ball held in Berlin between May 29th and 31st. We decided to go just few days before the event start; we even didn’t arrange our accommodation. But at the end all went well :-)
Except few traffic jams in Prague and Berlin the ride was OK. We found a very nice hotel near the places where parties were held and with many shops and restaurants around.
I attended parties all three nights; the abundance of parties made it physically impossible to be on all of them, so I decided to skip the play parties. I am afraid from my point of view the ball was the weakest one of the nights – energy there was relatively smallest, maybe people were tired already.
The Friday party was held in Insomnia club. It was rather nice start of the whole weekend. The venue is not big but nice with corners for more intimate plays, and also showers and a Jacuzzi :-) Also the music was very much to my taste. It was an enjoyable night except one experience that spoiled it a little. I was sitting on a swing and we thought to make a couple of picture of me using my cell phone. A guy came to us that it’s forbidden to make photos there and if we do more new will be led out. But imagine my surprise when few minutes later Rikapt noticed he is making photos of us. Upon complaining he replied he was the house photographer, so he can shoot (but no badge indication his status). I personally found that outrageous, and I would really want to know his name, such thing has never happened to me before. I mean, I don’t mind if pictures of me are made on the parties, but with his behavior I really wished to kick his ass!
The following day I wake up “early” :-) in the morning looking forward for the Fair. It’s always wonderful. You know, the smell of the latex all around you, passing many booths full of great outfits...
I ordered new custom made outfit from Bondinage which should arrive in few weeks, bought new gas mask from Latex 101, hood from Rubber55 and skirt from Blackstyle.
The black-yellow hood bellow is from Fetishuniverse, but unfortunately it didn’t fit as I would wish so I didn’t buy it.
On Saturday we choose the party at KitKat Club. And I must say in my opinion it was the best one from the whole weekend.
There were also many photographers, you know I mean the real ones. Some of them I know from other fetish events so I hope I will get some more photos from them ;-)
Sunday afternoon we spent few hours at the fair again, doing some small purchases, having lunch on fair terrace and talking with friends.
Then we went back to our hotel where we had very nice dinner followed by a short nap to replenish some energy.
We arrived to the ball few minutes before the program started. This time there was no real MCing. Just Rene, the main organizer, had a short introduction speech - in German only tough. Considering this is a big international event with many visitors from UK, USA, Canada and other corners of the world I haven’t found that a very fortunate decision.
The Matrix club is nice venue with great selection of music but due to so many rooms there the atmosphere breaks up easily. People are more separated and it took a lot of time to find friends. It was good, but it wasn’t THE BALL I remember from previous years.
Let’s see how it will be next year when the event moves to Hamburg.
